Adding a Date field

The Date field lets you automatically insert the current date or a future date into your note.

Current date (today)

When you insert a date field in a template, it's set to " today" by default. In your note, Dilato will convert that field into the current date.

Future date (relative date)

Using the dropdown, you can select a relative future date, like "in X days"

Then edit the number of days in the future.

In the note, Dilato will automatically calculate the correct date for you. For "in 14 days", Dilato will add 14 days to the current date.

  • If today is Dec 6, 2022, then "current date + 14 days" is Dec 20, 2022.

This comes in handy for medical certificates or a leave of absence.

Note: Dilato can also calculate past dates. To do so, type a minus sign just before the number of days:
